Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated:
This is a starting template; have it reviewed by a lawyer before launch.
This policy explains how to cancel a 4bqb Pro subscription and how refunds work. It applies to subscriptions purchased through 4bqb, operated by [Your Company / Jurisdiction]. Payments and refunds for 4bqb Pro are handled by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), our Merchant of Record. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.
1.How to Cancel
You can cancel 4bqb Pro at any time — there is no cancellation fee. To cancel:
- Sign in to 4bqb and open your account page.
- Select “Manage billing”, which opens Paddle’s secure customer portal.
- Choose Cancel subscription and confirm.
You can also manage or cancel your subscription directly from the link in any Paddle receipt email, or by contacting us at support@4bqb.com and we will help.
When you cancel:
- Your subscription will not renew, and no further charges will be made.
- Your Pro access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for (the current month or year). After that date, your account returns to the free tier.
2.Refunds
Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record for 4bqb Pro, Paddle is the seller for your purchase and refunds are issued by Paddle, in coordination with us. We want you to be happy with 4bqb, so in addition to any rights you have under law, we offer a goodwill refund window:
- 14-day goodwill refund. If you are a first-time 4bqb Pro subscriber, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase, for any reason.
- Statutory rights. Where applicable law (for example, EU/UK consumer law) gives you a right to withdraw from or cancel a purchase, those rights apply in addition to this goodwill window, and nothing in this policy limits them.
- Renewals. Renewal charges (after the first period) are generally non-refundable once the new period has begun, except where required by law or where we agree to a refund at our discretion — for example, if you were charged in error or experienced a significant service failure. To avoid a renewal charge, cancel before your renewal date (see Section 1).
3.How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Email us at support@4bqb.com from the email address on your account, and include your Paddle receipt or order number if you have it; or
- Reply to your Paddle receipt email or use the help link it contains to contact Paddle directly.
We aim to review refund requests promptly. If your request falls within the 14-day goodwill window or is required by law, we will approve it; other requests are considered case by case.
4.No Pro-Ration of Partial Periods
Subscriptions are billed for a full period (monthly or yearly). If you cancel partway through a paid period, your access continues until the end of that period, but we do not provide a partial or pro-rated refund for the unused portion, except where required by applicable law or where a refund is granted under Section 2.
5.How and When Refunds Are Issued
Approved refunds are processed by Paddle and returned to your original payment method. Once a refund is issued, it typically appears within a few business days, though the exact timing depends on your bank or card provider. You will receive confirmation from Paddle when a refund is processed. Any applicable taxes collected at purchase are refunded in line with the refunded amount.
