Welcome to 4bqb. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the 4bqb website, the co-op party mini-games we host, and any related services (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by [Your Company / Jurisdiction] (“4bqb”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Please read these Terms carefully.

1.Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the Service — whether as a guest, a registered user, or a 4bqb Pro subscriber — you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2.Description of the Service

4bqb is a website that hosts cooperative party mini-games playable directly in your web browser, with no download or installation required. Players join shared lobbies and play together in real time. We offer a free tier available to both guests and registered users, and a paid subscription, 4bqb Pro, described in Section 5.

We may add, change, suspend, or remove games, features, or functionality at any time. We do not guarantee that any particular game or feature will remain available.

3.Eligibility and Accounts

The Service is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to create an account or to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

You may sign in using a third-party identity provider (Google or Discord) or by requesting an email magic-link. You are responsible for:

• maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in method and any email account or third-party account linked to it;
• all activity that occurs under your account; and
• notifying us promptly at support@4bqb.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

You may use the Service as a guest without registering, but some features (including 4bqb Pro) require a registered account.

4.Acceptable Use

4bqb is meant to be a friendly place to play together. You agree that you will not:

• cheat, exploit bugs, use bots, scripts, or automation, or otherwise gain an unfair advantage in any game;
• tamper with, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service, its netcode, anti-fraud systems, or other players’ sessions;
• harass, threaten, bully, defame, or abuse other players, or post hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable content in names, chat, or any user-visible field;
• impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
• attempt to circumvent free-tier limits, rate limits, lobby caps, or our anti-fraud measures (including by creating multiple accounts to evade limits or bans);
• probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach any security or authentication measure;
• use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or unlawful content, or for any unlawful purpose; or
• access the Service through unauthorized means or scrape, harvest, or collect data about other users.

We may remove content, end lobbies, and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Section, with or without notice.

5.Subscriptions and Billing (4bqb Pro)

4bqb Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks unlimited play time, larger lobbies (up to 16 players plus spectators), and up to two concurrent lobbies. Pro is offered at $5 per month or $48 per year. Prices are in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise at checkout and may exclude taxes, which are calculated and shown at checkout.

Paddle is our Merchant of Record. Payments for 4bqb Pro are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), which acts as the merchant of record and reseller of the subscription. This means Paddle — not 4bqb — is the seller for the transaction and is responsible for billing, payment processing, and the collection and remittance of applicable taxes (including VAT and sales tax). When you purchase 4bqb Pro, your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s Buyer Terms, and Paddle’s name may appear on your payment statement and receipts.

Auto-renewal. 4bqb Pro is a recurring subscription. Unless you cancel beforehand, your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you chose), and the then-current price is charged to your payment method through Paddle. The renewal date is shown in your account and in Paddle’s receipts.

Price changes. We may change subscription prices or the contents of a plan from time to time. If we change the price that applies to your renewal, we (or Paddle on our behalf) will give you reasonable advance notice by email before the change takes effect, so that you can cancel if you do not agree. Continuing your subscription after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

6.Cancellation and Refunds

You can cancel 4bqb Pro at any time from your account page (“Manage billing”), which directs you to Paddle’s customer portal. When you cancel, your subscription will not renew again and you will not be charged for any future period. Your Pro access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, after which your account returns to the free tier.

Refunds are handled by Paddle as the merchant of record and are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Please review that policy for details, including the goodwill refund window and how to request a refund.

7.Intellectual Property

The Service, including its games, software, source code, netcode, artwork, audio, models, text, the 4bqb name and logo, and all other materials we provide, is owned by 4bqb or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from any part of the Service except as expressly permitted.

8.User Content

The Service involves limited user-provided content, such as your display name, chosen avatar or cosmetics, lobby names, and any in-game chat or messages (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant 4bqb a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and transmit it as necessary to operate and provide the Service (for example, showing your name to other players in a lobby).

You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the rights to share it and that it does not violate Section 4 or the rights of others. We may remove User Content that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.

9.Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Google and Discord for optional sign-in, and Paddle for payment processing. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices, availability, or content of third-party services, and your dealings with them are solely between you and the relevant provider.

10.Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, free of harmful components, or that any defects will be corrected. Real-time multiplayer gameplay depends on your internet connection and on systems outside our control, and we do not guarantee any particular level of performance, latency, or availability.

11.Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will 4bqb or its officers, employees, or suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us (or to Paddle for the Service) in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you; nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12.Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 4bqb and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or the rights of a third party.

13.Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time, and you may delete your account using the “Delete account” button in your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, the licenses granted to you end. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 10, 11, 12, and 15) will survive.

14.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the Service. Changes take effect when posted unless stated otherwise. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15.Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by the laws of [Your Company / Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you and 4bqb submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
